Update the 2023-02-03 at 13:41:55
The update of the conditions is done every morning before 7am. Please note that between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., conditions are subject to change. Temperature, wind and trail traffic can influence snow conditions, the number of trails open and the number of chairlifts in operation, which are reassessed during the day. If there are any changes, they will be made as soon as possible on our website.
Closure of the ski resort Saturday February 4
February 3, 2023
And yes the glacial temperature does not let up, which leads us to extend the closure of the station on Saturday February 4. The uphill skiing will remain open (6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.), as well as the chalet (7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and the customer service counter (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Dress warmly!
Why close the ski resort during very cold weather?
The main reason for this closure is the safety of our customers and employees. Such temperatures could be dangerous for, in particular, frostbite and cases of hypothermia as well as in the event of a ski lift stoppage or evacuation. Ski resorts should always think about their operations in terms of safety first, and this possibility should be factored into the decision whether or not to close the resort.
We must also take into consideration the protection of our equipment. Just like cars, grooming equipment, snowmobiles and other mechanical equipment can be abused during extreme cold.
Thank you for understanding, and fortunately, on Sunday February 5, temperatures approaching normal will be back to end the weekend in style!
